Step forward with your non-kicking foot while holding the ball in front of your kicking foot.
Swing your kicking foot back, drop the ball onto your kicking foot in front of your body and swing your kicking leg through the ball with the instep, while leaning back slightly.
Follow through with your kicking foot and maintain control over the ball’s trajectory.
